The Gateway Community College Foundation will hold its 21st Annual Hall of Fame Induction & Reception on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Gateway Community College in the Curran Community Center. The Hall of Fame remains the Foundation’s largest fundraising event. The scholarship funds will help students achieve their educational dream. The Hall of Fame event honors outstanding members of the corporate community, community leaders and Gateway alumni, and recognize them for their commitment and dedication to Gateway’ educational mission.
Gateway Community College Foundation is pleased to announce that it is launching the Family Economic Security Program (FESP) at the Gateway campus this fall. This program will provide students from low-to moderate-income families with coaching in four areas: academic, financial, career and personal. FESP is the only program serving New Haven and surrounding communities focused on implementing proven strategies to remove student success barriers and applying wraparound services on a college campus with the goal of increasing degree attainment by students. FESP is based on successful models at Housatonic and Norwalk Community Colleges. Gateway will be the third site for this program.
The Foundation helps build a network of community support and promotes better public understanding of Gateway Community College as a significant regional resource and a means of providing and promoting educational opportunity and career advancement. Contact the Foundation to learn more about how you can make a donation and make a difference for our Gateway students.
