Gateway Community College Foundation
Established in 1993, the Gateway Community College Foundation, an independent 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, was created to support the College's mission and institutional goals through philanthropic support. Gifts to the Foundation, which are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law, help ensure Gateway Community College has the resources to remain a leading institution of higher education.
The Gateway Community College Foundation is a vital thread in the fabric of our community, providing a lifeline to students who are challenged by their financial limitations. The encouragement begins with scholarships and funds for student support initiatives, professional development opportunities for faculty and staff and programmatic needs for the college. With the help of a dedicated Board of Directors, loyal alumni, donors, friends, and volunteers,
the Foundation helps to build a network of regional community support that reflects our practice and our reality of our commitment to diversity and equity.
A Message from the Foundation Board Chair – Helene A. Augustine
Words cannot express how honored I am to chair the Gateway Community College Foundation Board of Directors. I have been a GCCF Board member since 2012. I always marveled at my fellow Board members’ commitment to the educational mission of Gateway Community College and their remarkable efforts to support students, faculty, and staff. As Board Chair, I pledge that we will continue those efforts in 2021 and beyond.
2020 brought unprecedented challenges and changes and deeply affected the Gateway Community College “family” especially our students. I am so proud of the way the GCC Foundation doubled and redoubled efforts to support Gateway students determined to transform their lives through education. We will do everything within our power to advance equity, diversity, and educational excellence; bring opportunity within reach for everyone; and help build the skilled workforce tomorrow’s world will need. With the help of our caring donors and community, I know the Gateway Community College Foundation will continue to help Gateway students achieve their dreams of a brighter future.
